Hi friends! Not crochet related but today is my 40

Hi friends! Not crochet related but today is my 40th birthday! 🤭 I don’t have any plans but I want to celebrate the little victories.

After having an awful health check-up last year in September, I decided to go on a health and fitness journey. This time I really mean it 😁.

I had always been a skinny child even through my teenage years but as I got older, I started getting bigger and heavier. More so in the last 8-10 years. I was over-eating and living a sedentary lifestyle. I noticed I never smile in photos or that I look quite sad. Sometimes I’ll stand at the back so I can’t be seen or I make sure to cover my belly so it’s out of shot. One of the many reasons I never post selfies or appear in videos. I became very self conscious about my appearance.

But I wanted to celebrate the small victories. Since my health and fitness journey began, I’m down 15kgs (33lbs)😌. Healthy, mindful eating and regular exercise is all it takes. I’m about halfway there but I already feel so much healthier, I sleep better and I breathe a little easier.

One day at a time. Cheers to 40! 🥂❤️
