Woodland baby bunny now has a friend in the form of a baby bear! This Woodland Baby Bear is very shy, but he’s sweet, kind and caring. He loves to play in the leaves and he’s always ready to give lots of cuddles!
I’ve crocheted a few teddy bears in the past for my children and this little guy so far is my favourite. He looks like such a charmer. I hope you enjoy crocheting this cutie. His pattern is easy to follow, very detailed with plenty of photos. It is suitable for beginners, so if you are new to amigurumi, this would be great to start with as it only uses single crochet stitches throughout. The pattern is now available at Etsy, Craftsy and Amigurumipatterns.net.
I made this bear in a fixed sitting position. I used a 4.5mm hook and 8 ply acrylic yarn and the finished bear measured about 22cm (8 inches) from top to bottom.
You will need:
- 4.5mm crochet hook
- 8 Ply Acrylic yarn in Brown at least 90g (243m/265yds)
- 8 Ply Acrylic yarn in Dark Brown at least 10g (27m/30yds)
- 8 Ply Acrylic yarn in Yellow at least 10g (27m/30yds)
- Small amount of Black embroidery thread
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Polyester toy stuffing
- 2 Plastic safety eyes (20mm)
- 1 Plastic safety nose (21x16mm)
- Stitch marker (optional)
- Pins (optional)
Pattern is available at Etsy, Craftsy and Amigurumipatterns.net. I hope you enjoy crocheting this Woodland Baby Bear and if you do crochet this little cutie, I would love to see a picture – post a picture on instagram and tag me @maryjcarlos (or #helloyellowyarn) or post on my Facebook page.
Happy crocheting!
