Ready to add a little handmade charm to your home? This cute and adorable pear amigurumi crochet project is perfect for that. Great for all skill level, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner. This pattern utilises very simple stitches. Add eyes, blush and freckles for a cheerful personality, this pear will make a lovely decoration, gift or add to a playful fruit or kitchen themed collection.
I love making amigurumi fruits. It always takes me back to when my children were young and they would play market with them. They would pick out fruits and put them in their little mesh bags. It was such a joy to watch.
Attach a keyring to the top of the pear and it would make one adorable bag charm.

PEAR AMIGURUMI
You will need:
- 3mm crochet hook
- 8ply (DK/Light Worsted) yarn in Green
- Small amount of Brown yarn for the stem and freckles
- Small amount of Pink yarn for the blush
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker
- Toy stuffing
- A pair of 8mm plastic safety eyes
- Keyring (optional)
Skill: Beginner
Size: Approx. 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) tall, not including the stem.

- You’ll need to know how to make a magic ring/circle.
- The pear is crocheted in a continuous round.
- The stem is crocheted across a chain.
- Basic embroidery and sewing skills are required.

Abbreviations (US Crochet Terminology)
Rnd – round
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
inc – single crochet increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec – single crochet decrease (sc 2 together)
sl st – slip stitch
st/sts – stitch/stitches
rep – repeat
PEAR (in Green yarn)
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6 sts)
Rnd 2: Inc in each st around (12 sts)
Rnd 3: Sc around (12 sts)
Rnd 4: Sc 1, inc; rep 6 times (18 sts)
Rnd 5: Sc around (18 sts)
Rnd 6: Sc 5, inc; rep 3 times (21 sts)
Rnd 7: Sc around (21 sts)
Rnd 8: Sc 6, inc; rep 3 times (24 sts)
Rnd 9: Sc around (24 sts)
Rnd 10: Sc 3, inc; rep 6 times (30 sts)
Rnd 11: Sc 4, inc; rep 6 times (36 sts)
Rnd 12: Sc 5, inc; rep 6 times (42 sts)
Rnds 13 – 21: Sc around (42 sts)
Attach safety eyes between Rounds 16 and 17, 5 stitches apart.
Rnd 22: Sc 5, dec; rep 6 times (36 sts)
Rnd 23: Sc around (36 sts)
Rnd 24: Sc 4, dec; rep 6 times (30 sts)
Rnd 25: Sc 3, dec; rep 6 times 24 sts)
Add stuffing and continue to add stuffing firmly as you crochet until closing.
Rnd 26: Sc 2, dec; rep 6 times (18 sts)
Rnd 27: Sc 1, dec; rep 6 times (12 sts)
Rnd 28: Sc 2, dec; rep 3 times (9 sts)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Using a yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loops of the remaining stitches and pull the tail gently to close. Secure the tail by weaving it through the piece several times. Using the same yarn tail, embroider a nose by sewing several horizontal stitches, two stitches wide, one round below the eyes in the centre.
STEM (in Brown yarn)
Ch 5. Sl st in next 4 sts (4 sts)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the stem on top of the pear.
TO FINISH
1. Using pink yarn, embroider a blush by sewing 2 horizontal stitches, two stitches wide, below each eye.
2. Using brown yarn, embroider the freckles by sewing 3 small horizontal stitches, one stitch wide, below each blush.
3. (Optional) – attach a keyring to the top of the pear to make it into a bag charm.
