Hello my fellow crocheters and amigurumists! Happy New Year! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic festive season and a great start to the new year.
I’m so excited to be featured as the designer for this month’s Ami Along over at Amigurumipatterns! Circuit is the ami along pattern for the month of January.
Meet Circuit, the Little Robot. He’s a curious robot who’ll be happy to help you with small tasks. He’ll even fix your broken toys and he likes to collect old computer parts. He’s also an avid mathematics problem solver, however, don’t ask him to solve a Rubik’s cube. He’s still trying to figure that out!
Are you an Ami Along member? You can make Circuit today! If not, head on over to Amigurumipatterns to join.
I was inspired to make Circuit from my son’s kindergarten project last year. To make their robot, they had to cut different shapes out of coloured paper and paste them onto a cardboard paper. I knew one day, I would make that robot… and here he is! My husband helped me name him this time and I think Circuit is a pretty good name 🙂
Circuit’s pattern is not too difficult but it does involve a lot of sewing. What’s great is that there’s plenty of room for customisation. You can choose whatever colours you like and sew the antenna and buttons wherever you like too!
For those who are new to Ami Along it is a monthly event hosted at Amigurumipatterns. You can become a member with a monthly subscription or participate in a single Ami Along. Each month is hosted by different Amigurumi designers.
It’s also a fantastic way to meet other amigurumists and crocheters alike. You can participate in forums to meet the designer, ask for help, get some tips and just have a fantastic time creating and stitching fun designs!
By participating in the Ami Along, you’ll be in the running to win incredible prizes. Head on over to Amigurumipatterns to get more information and to start crocheting Circuit today!
I can’t wait to see everyone’s little Robot!
