Strawberry, vanilla and chocolate ice cream without hurting the hips, right? Looks good enough to eat! These adorable looking ice cream are very easy to make and kids will love playing with them. You can also add small bells or rattles for an instant toy rattle for babies.
I just love crocheting toys especially play food as they are so easy to make and these would make great gifts for kids.

Hi there
I was wondering if I Can get a bit of help with completing the ice cream scoop. I am on row 9 but I don’t know what am I meant to do and I’ve done a few variations but still haven’t got the nice last row pattern of the scoop. is it meant to be
first hole out of the 18 sitches –
1 hdc (1 Sc)
2Nd hole
1 hdc (1 Sc)
3Rd hole
1 hdc hole (1Sc)
Skip hole ?
Thank you
Hi Amy. In the first hole or stitch, you’ll need to do 3 hdc and 1 sc. Then you skip the next hole/stitch. You repeat that pattern until the end of the round. You’ll only be crocheting into 9 stitches of the 18 stitches because you’re skipping the other 9.
So it’s 1st stitch (3 hdc, 1 sc) 2nd stitch (skip), 3rd stitch (3 hdc, 1 sc), 4th stitch (skip) etc.
I hope that helps!
MJ
Thank you! I shall give it a go when I’m back home from work!
I didn’t realise crocheting food could be so much fun! I’ve already made some doughnuts using your pattern, now I’m onto the ice creams. Thanks so much 🙂
Thank you for pattern
