Christmas Tree – Free Crochet Pattern

Xmas-Tree-HYY-Pattern-1

Hey everyone! I cannot believe it’s been 11 months since my last post. Wow! I have some time now and I will be blogging more often. Yay!

Whew! What a year it’s been!

I know it’s not the end of the year yet, but I do hope that you’ve all had a tremendous year so far. It will be Christmas in a couple of weeks and it’s not too late to add one more decorative piece to your  house for this festive season.  I still had plenty of green, red and white coloured yarn so I quickly whipped up this Christmas tree over the weekend and quickly jotted down the pattern.

I wanted to share the pattern with you so you can make your own small decorative Christmas Tree. It’s so cute. If you use thicker yarn and a larger hook, you will have a bigger tree and it can even be used as a centre piece to your Christmas table.  And of course you can customise the colours too.

Have fun with this pattern and enjoy!

Xmas-Tree-HYY-Pattern-4

Spray or apply clear craft adhesive on the star to keep it flat and wait to dry.

Thread through the tail from the star in a yarn needle.

Weave in through the top of Bough 1.

Then weave through the top of Bough 2, Bough 3, Bough 4 and Bough 5.

Turn your tree inside out and tie a couple of knots along with the tail end from Bough 5 (see photo) to secure the star. Cut off excess yarn. Turn the tree back out to the correct side.

You may also want to glue the star in place (optional).

Spray or apply clear craft adhesive on the tree to retain its shape and wait to dry.

Your tree is ready to use for decoration!

From my family to yours, I wish you all a happy and safe Christmas!

  1. For one, I’m happy you are back! And two, this is the most adorable thing I’ve seen all day! How cute is that?! I can see this on my desk, beside a bed, in a baby’s room, given as a gift…Wow. So cute and you are very talented to make something like this! Happy Christmas, Koko 🙂
