Graceful-Gemma-Giraffe-HYY-4

Meet Graceful Gemma Giraffe! She is always happy and loves to dance all day long.  I had so much fun putting her together. Her pattern is now available to download in my Etsy store.

Gemma is the 2nd amigurumi animal from my Safari series.  You can check Professor Elbert the Elephant – he’s the 1st of the series.  The next animal in the series will be a Hippo. Stay tuned for that one.

The pattern is suitable for beginners and very easy to put together.  As with all my other patterns, I like to keep them simple with minimal complex stitches as possible. The stitches are mostly single crochets for the majority of the project. A knowledge of magic ring/circle and whipstitch sewing is required.

I used a 4.5mm hook and 8 ply yarn to crochet this giraffe  and the finished giraffe measured about 45cm (18 inches) from top to bottom.  She’s one of the tallest amigurumi animal I’ve made so far!
